I painted this sketch while my kids ran up and down the dunes around me in Florence, Oregon. This was the view of the path that led back to our campsite from the top of the tallest dune. The biggest challenge painting up there was not letting the painting fly away as the wind whipped by!
- 6 x 9 inches
- Watercolor and ink on hand-made paper
- Unframed but fits nicely into a standard 9 x 12 inch frame (if you would like me to frame it for you, add a note and I can do so for an additional $30)
I call them "sketches" because of how quickly I create them--usually between 20-60 minutes--and they're often created "en plein air" (outside, on location), using water from the painting's subject, while my kids are playing.
