A last-minute decision to hike at dusk isn't usually a great idea. As the light was running low and my ability to see the path in front of me was diminishing, the brightest moon rose directly behind me to light my path. I wanted to capture that tender mercy moment when the light of the moon cast a shadow before me and I was warmed by the sunlight absorbed by the cliff walls.
