Mt Jefferson was known as Seekseekqua or Kussail Teminbi by local Native Americans and is one of the more distinctive mountain peaks in the PNW with it's pointy top. We were delighted to get such a clear view of it on a hike to the Iron Mountain Lookout in Cascadia, Oregon. Knew I'd have to come home and paint the beautiful view!
- 6 x 9 inches
- Watercolor and ink on hand-made paper
- Unframed but fits nicely into a standard 9 x 12 inch frame (if you would like me to frame it for you, add a note and I can do so for an additional $30)
I call them "sketches" because of how quickly I create them--usually between 20-60 minutes--and they're often created "en plein air" (outside, on location), using water from the painting's subject, while my kids are playing.
