This painting was the first I did for this series. It was based on an idea I'd had to try to paint the process I go through as I create. To show the beauty of the creative process itself. But how to do that in a finished painting? It was an intriguing challenge and this was my first intepretation of my idea. As I painted it, I also pondered on how God created the world and wondered if my process was anything like His. I don't know the answer to that but I do know that there is joy in creating. In seeing ideas come to life. In making something beautiful from raw materials.
